The project began with strict parameters: format, page count, and 160 images that needed a clear structure. To challenge my usual way of thinking, I let an AI rank the images by an »Aesthetic Score« – fascinated by the idea of a machine judging something as subjective as beauty.
While the AI handled the emotional judgment, I approached the design systematically. I arranged everything in a rigid grid, sorted by score and alphabet, placing images vertically according to the first letter of their file names. Somewhere between algorithm and order, a pattern emerged – unexpectedly poetic, almost ornamental.
